- • Select the Pen tool from the toolbox
- • Click once in the drawing window where you want to start the line.
- • The pen puts a square dot on the screen - this is one end of your straight line.
- • Note that the square is black—it is "highlighted"—to show it's the "current"
- (most recently drawn) point.
- • Move the pen to where you want your second point to go.
- • Click (don't drag) — a line is drawn between your last point and the new point.
- • Note that your new point is now highlighted (filled with black) and the first point is now an "X".
- • This shows that it is an "endpoint" of a path, instead of a point somewhere in the center of the path.
